About Tamyia Paul

A believer in Jesus Christ, Tamyia is a faith-driven public servant whose leadership is rooted in service, excellence, and community advancement. Guided by a strong family foundation built on love and integrity, she has consistently translated vision into action across public safety, local government, and higher education.

Born and raised in Osceola County, Tamyia Paul is a Central Florida public sector professional committed to service, operational excellence, and community advancement. Her experience across government, law enforcement administration, and higher education reflects a strong dedication to strengthening public institutions and supporting the communities they serve.

Tamyia currently serves as Senior Administrative Assistant to the Deputy Chief of the Orlando Police Department, where she supports the department’s FDLE-certified Training Center and in-house Basic Law Enforcement Academy. Through this role, she contributes to organizational operations, officer development, and strategic administrative initiatives that support public safety and operational effectiveness.

Prior to joining the Orlando Police Department, Tamyia served for more than three years at Orlando City Hall as Board Coordinator within the Office of the City Clerk. In this role, she managed governance and appointment processes for more than 25 citizen advisory boards and over 170 board members and volunteers, supporting civic engagement, public accountability, and compliance with municipal policy and Florida Sunshine Law requirements. Her work earned her the City of Orlando’s Exemplary Service Award.

Tamyia earned her Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida’s Burnett Honors College. She is also a graduate of Valencia College’s Seneff Honors College, where she was named the institution’s 2020 Distinguished Graduate and Commencement Speaker. Throughout her academic and professional journey, she has remained actively involved in leadership, mentorship, civic engagement, and community-focused initiatives throughout Central Florida.

Her long-term professional interests include governance, strategic operations, compliance, public administration, and organizational leadership within public sector and community-serving environments. Tamyia regularly serves as a speaker and panelist focused on leadership, education, civic engagement, and empowering the next generation.
